Why this matters. A draft feels private because you never pressed send. Whether one is kept depends on where an app stores what you type.
This includes any content that you upload to the service. For example, you may write messages or posts (including drafts), send voice messages, create custom emojis, or post other content that you create with features that we develop. You may also upload and share files through the services.

Why this matters. Background means the app is open but not on your screen. Phone settings usually let you choose between this and sharing location only while you are using the app.

Why this matters. Anything published openly on the web can become training material without anyone being asked.
To power features such as search and as a source for our foundational AI models, Apple uses Applebot, a web crawler, to crawl information that is publicly available on the internet. We have measures in place to reduce the amount of personal data we collect and make no attempt to connect data crawled to any individual Apple user, or to build profiles about individuals.

Plainlyst is operated by JC RESERVE LLC, a limited liability company registered in the United States. It is built and run by one small company. There is no advertising in it, no data collected about the people who read it, and nothing sold to anybody.
It does not rate companies, and it never will. What a policy says is a fact worth reporting. What that makes a company is a judgment, and it is yours to make.
